Floral "Tea" Box

This project was a simple attempt to make something "pretty" without spending much money. This piece is made with an old tea box and a lots of flower pictures cut out from second-hand gardening magazines (bought for a couple of rand each at our local charity shop)
Cost to make: Very little
Time: 3 hours (while watching TV)

Here how I did it:

1. First I took an old "five roses" cardboard tea box and base-coated it with some white paint.
2. I then paged through my pile of second-hand-R1-each-charity-shop gardening magazines and cut out lots of pretty flowers, bugs etc.
3. The pictures were stuck on with lots of modge and varnish. I just ensured that every piece of the box was covered with something.
4. The end result is a pretty, colourful gift box waiting to be filled something special. It would make a lovely storage box for photos or letters too
